How it began:

We began trading in 2019 as an independent cookie business. Richard, our founder, has over 15 years experience within the bakery/food industry. Started originally as an online business based from Richard's kitchen, trading as My Cookie Club. The business quickly outgrew the kitchen and took on premises in Cadbury Courtyard, Blackminster Business Park, where a little cookie shop grew to become so much more. Alongside freshly baked cookies and great tasting coffee we became known for great value lunches.

Where it is now:

3 years after opening My Cookie Club, the business has grown and is now based in a larger cafe unit in Blackminster Park. Rebranded to Newtons Bakery Cafe, we still offer great tasting freshly made bakes and cakes, but also have light lunches - Sandwiches, Toasties and Jacket Potatoes. 

Our Philosophy:

Newtons Bakery Cafe is more than just a coffee shop. It's a place where people can come together, share ideas, and create meaningful connections. We believe that every cup of coffee or tea has the power to bring people closer, and we strive to create an environment that fosters community and inclusivity.
